Maple School Association - IDA

The IDA was formed to serve the needs of Maple School dancers and their families. The IDA serves many functions including:

  • An up-to-date website and newsletters to provide information on events, competitions, dresses for sale and the like.
  • Information about performances (for schools, nursing homes and Celtic festivals as well as the St. Patrick¹s Day Parades in Old Town Alexandria and Washington, DC )
  • Information concerning feisanna and the Oireachtas.
  • Opportunities for fundraisers to benefit families traveling to the Oireachtas and the World¹s competitions.
  • A costume, shoe sale and exchange.
  • Additional incentives for individuals and organizations to donate funds and services to our tax-exempt association. Expenses for the St. Patrick¹s Day parades have been donated (floats, snacks, etc.), but it is getting difficult to tap these sources without added incentives.
  • Additional opportunities for families to get together outside of class and feiseanna events, such as the Maple School/IDA picnic in May and the Maple School/IDA Ceili in January.
  • Your membership in the IDA is tax-deductible!
