Deadline
to Order New School Costume - September 1, 2007
If you are competing in solos at the Oireachtas you need a school dress for teams.
There are currently very few resale dresses available.
If your dress is a little short
now, please consider that it may be way too short in December! Please e-mail

Purchasing Information:
The
pleated skirt and boy's trousers can be ordered through the J.C.
Penney catalogue and at most stores selling school uniforms. Bloomers
can be purchased at most dance supply stores and some sporting goods
stores. For competitions, most girls curl their hair. For Parades and
Performances, the Curly Hair scrunchie is worn over a bun. The Curly
Hair scrunchie can be purchased at most Sally Beauty Supply stores
and at the hair salon at J.C. Penney.
Maple School Costume:
The
school is very proud of its official costume, and finds that a student
who is working hard and progressing quickly will excel even further
when dressed in our school costume. For information on having a
dress made, please email Maura Stevens: Stevens_me@juno.com. If
you take good care of your costume, it will retain a higher resale
value. Don't eat or drink anything
except water while wearing your costume. Use disposable dress shields
(http://www.advantagewear.com) under the arm and store the dress
flat. Look in the Marketplace section for used Maple
Costumes.
Boys
may order the Maple cummerbund and wear the french blue dress shirt
as they advance.
Dancers in the
championship level of competition wear solo costumes.
